We are looking for a (Senior) Product Sustainability Specialist to join Tanso and help leading industrial companies master product-level sustainability and compliance. In this role, you will directly influence how companies understand, act upon, and report on sustainability.

You will lead initiatives where innovation meets purpose, driving ideas forward and taking responsibility to make a difference. Activities As a Product Sustainability Specialist, you will own the methodological ground truth for product sustainability at Tanso, focusing on PPWR, the Digital Product Passport (ESPR), EPDs, LCA, and PCF.

You will set the standard for audit-readiness, act as a trusted advisor to industrial customers, and make your expertise scalable through content, data, enablement, and product.

Key responsibilities include: - Owning the methodology for product sustainability and compliance (PPWR, DPP/ESPR, EPDs, LCA, PCF), resolving edge cases, and anticipating regulatory developments. - Guiding customers through complex product compliance cases, including audits and executive-level discussions, by designing scalable enablement formats. - Translating regulatory and methodological logic into product inputs such as in-app guidance, automation rules, and data models. - Building and maintaining an AI-first knowledge base, templates, and quality standards for your focus area. - Representing Tanso externally through talks, webinars, and participation in industry working groups.

Requirements - Deep, proven expertise in product-level sustainability: LCA, EPDs, PCF, and product compliance regulation (PPWR, ESPR/DPP; ideally also REACH, RoHS, EPR, WEEE, SCIP or similar). - Strong command of the relevant standards: ISO 14040/44, EN 15804, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol Product Standard, PACT. - Several (4+) years of experience in LCA and sustainability consulting, sustainability software, EPD program work, or industrial product compliance. - Experience translating regulation and methodology into scalable formats — content, data models, or software logic. - An AI-first working approach and strong curiosity for continuous learning. - Based in or willing to relocate to Munich.
