About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and environmentally conscious Remote Chemical Engineer to lead their Sustainability Initiatives. This position focuses on identifying and implementing sustainable practices within chemical processes, reducing environmental impact, and exploring greener alternatives. You will work remotely, analyzing existing operations, researching eco-friendly technologies, and collaborating with global teams to drive the company's sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities
- Assess current chemical processes for environmental impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Research and evaluate sustainable technologies, materials, and methodologies.
- Develop and propose strategies for waste reduction, energy efficiency, and emissions control.
- Collaborate virtually with R&D, operations, and corporate responsibility teams.
- Prepare reports and presentations on sustainability performance and initiatives.
- Stay current with environmental regulations and industry best practices in green chemistry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering , Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience, with a focus on sustainability, environmental engineering, or green chemistry.
- Proven understanding of environmental impact assessment and life cycle analysis.
- Experience with process optimization for resource efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration abilities.
