Remote Agricultural Sustainability Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Agricultural Sustainability Advisor to guide farms in adopting environmentally responsible and economically viable practices. This fully remote position allows you to impact agricultural landscapes across various regions from your home office. You will work with clients to assess their current operations, identify areas for improvement in sustainability, and develop customized strategies for resource conservation, soil health, and biodiversity enhancement. The ideal candidate is passionate about eco-friendly agriculture and possesses a deep understanding of sustainable farming methodologies and their practical application.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments of farm operations to evaluate environmental impact and sustainability performance.

• Develop tailored sustainability plans that address water conservation, soil health, biodiversity, and waste reduction.

• Advise clients on implementing organic farming, regenerative agriculture, and other eco-friendly practices.

• Provide guidance on managing agricultural inputs, such as fertilizers and pesticides, in an environmentally sound manner.

• Educate farmers on best practices for climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture.

• Assist clients in navigating sustainability certifications and reporting requirements.

• Stay updated on the latest research and innovations in agricultural sustainability and conservation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience advising on or implementing sustainable agricultural practices.

• In-depth knowledge of soil science, water management, conservation biology, and organic farming systems.

• Proven ability to develop and implement practical sustainability strategies for agricultural operations.

• Excellent communication, consulting, and project management skills, adapted for remote engagement.

• Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks relevant to agriculture.
