Energy and Sustainability Manager

Overview

As Sustainability Programme Lead, you will drive the client’s sustainability performance across a German portfolio, including campuses in Dahlewitz and Oberursel. You’ll work with the Sustainable Operations team to share best practices and implement energy, waste, and water initiatives. You’ll coordinate data analysis, project pipelines, and compliance activities to help decarbonize operations. This role offers the chance to influence sustainability at scale within a global real estate services firm and across regional teams.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Data Management & Analytics: collect and manage utility data, track usage and carbon emissions, analyze meter data, fix data quality issues, produce monthly reports
• Project Development & Cost Savings: develop energy and water project pipelines from optimization to decarbonization, contribute to cost savings
• Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination: coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and sustainability champions; advise facility managers on energy and environmental topics
• Compliance & Standards: support ISO 50001 procedures, assist with audits and reporting, ensure adherence to energy/sustainability playbooks
• Strategic Collaboration: support the Sustainable Operations platform in EMEA, share best practices, contribute to playbooks and tools

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Background in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Energy and Engineering, or sustainable buildings
• Sound knowledge of energy, water and waste management
• Knowledge of building services systems and data analytics
• Ability to analyze and present complex energy data with spreadsheets and analytical software
• Knowledge of German legislation on energy and environmental aspects
• Understanding of ISO 50001 management systems
• Fluent in German and English
• Passion for sustainability in the built environment
