What You’ll Actually Do
• Tracking: Drive and maintain the implementation of the sustainability initiative tracking tool.
• Coordination: Perform cross‑functional coordination of processes and departments, initiating and supporting sustainability initiatives for emission reductions and circular materials.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sustainability teams across markets, as well as Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Purchasing, to steer activities on project advancements and implementation.
• Development: Develop and oversee the roll‑out of guidance and excellence for change activities, such as resource allocation.
• Strategy: Collaborate with senior management on all aspects of the organization’s sustainability development policies and initiatives.
Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division develops and implements sustainability strategies focused on sustainable materials. This role is crucial for coordinating cross‑functional efforts, driving project implementation, and ensuring the company advances its sustainability goals within its global operations.
The Must‑Haves
• Background: Master’s degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sustainability and/or commercial roles within the chemical industry or consulting, ideally with a strong focus on sustainability‑related projects.
• Skills: Excellent understanding of the complexity of products, technologies, and value chains; excellent presentation and communication skills; individual with both a strategic and analytical mindset; strong project management skills; fluent English language skills.
• Bonus: Background and experience in sustainability, marketing, or purchasing; good knowledge of German.
